To cap off National Volunteer Week, our Volunteer Coordinator, Victoria Snow, wanted to share a message of thanks to our many dedicated volunteers.

The Alberni Valley Hospice Society encourages active participation from the Port Alberni community because we know it is the best way to achieve our missions and goals. Volunteers are crucial to the operations of the Alberni Valley Hospice Society's programs and services. Without volunteers, our programs would not be the same.

We are fortunate to have such dedicated and long-standing volunteers. It is not something that you see with every organization.

Although I am new to the Volunteer Coordinator position, our volunteers have shown me how committed they are to serving our community in whatever way they can. Especially during the pandemic, our volunteers have helped us keep open existing programs such as Ty Watson House and start a new Phone Companioning service for the community.

We appreciate all of our volunteers and the hard work they do for our community and us!
