Our annual Butterfly Effect is a heartwarming family event that touches the lives of everyone in the Alberni Valley.
Join us to release a butterfly for fun or in memory of a loved one.
The event is family friendly and includes free kids' activities, free face painting, free water, a bbq by donation and more!
We advise all guests to bring hats, camping chairs, sunscreen, and anything else they need to be comfortable at our outdoor space during a summer day.

Each year this event brings together members of our community to reminisce about loved ones we have lost. We honour them by releasing a butterfly in their memory. Together we celebrate a beautiful moment when hundreds of Painted Lady butterflies are released into the air.
Purchase a butterfly to support the event, and/or join us for music, a barbecue and kids' activities!
