Local author and Hospice supporter, Diane Deforest Dobson, has published a new book, “Through the Eyes of a Child – A Collection of Childhood Memories”, with all proceeds going to Alberni Valley Hospice Society.

From the author:
"Fourteen (14) storytellers recounted their memories which I have written in their own words. So many endured the Depression years, the War years, and really tough times. Their memories run the gamut of emotions - happy, sad, heartfelt, and tragic. All are real. That was my goal. My hope is for our generation, and especially those who follow, can learn from and appreciate those who came before."

Copies are available at the AV Hospice Community Office for $15.
